Instructions for Shrimp in Molasses and Mustard Sauce

In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with the water until completely dissolved. Then add the Dijon mustard and molasses and stir well until the sauce is smooth.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and are partially cooked.

Season the shrimp with salt and pepper, then remove them from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the onion, chili pepper, and garlic, and sauté until the vegetables are soft and fragrant.

Return the shrimp to the skillet, then add the fish stock or vegetable stock and stir well.

Gradually add the mustard and molasses mixture, stirring continuously until the sauce comes to a boil and thickens.

Stir in the lemon juice, then adjust the salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the shrimp hot with the sauce, and enjoy it with white rice, fresh bread, or grilled vegetables.
